Closing Date: 31/03/2010

Working for Skipton Financial Services based at Skipton Building Society’s Worcester branch, you will be responsible for providing whole of market advice to a wide range of clients, particularly on investments and inheritance tax planning. This hybrid role is to cover branch leads part time and to service your own allocated review clients. As well as developing your own client bank effectively, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate and evidence their strength in training/coaching, developing and motivating branch staff to achieve their SFS objective. Skipton Building Society’s branches have a specific SFS target and bonus scheme which is designed to reward both the quality and volume of lead generation and forms a significant proportion of the branch staff bonuses. An additional part of the role is to cover Direct Business Centre leads from our affinity relationships and to service a small client bank of Medical Insurance Agency clients. Dedicated to meeting the needs of our clients, you will display the personal maturity, confidence and knowledge that discerning clients will expect in their financial adviser. Therefore strong communication and customer service skills are of utmost importance. You will have a proven record of sales success covering savings, pensions and investment advice and an outstanding ability to develop and maintain long-lasting client relationships by providing appropriate and understandable advice. You will need to have the relevant qualifications and experience within the financial services arena. Minimum expectations are FPC or CEFA qualified. Ideally you’ll be progressing towards or willing to progress towards CII Diploma level exams. You must have previously held CAS status and been working in an advising capacity hitting and achieving personal sales targets. IHT experience is not essential as training and development will be provided. Successful applicants will be subject to a criminal records bureau check. If any adverse information is recorded this will be investigated in line with our Recruitment of Ex-Offenders Policy and you may be declined employment. You are encouraged to disclose any unspent (or spent) convictions to the Recruitment Manager at the earliest opportunity.
