Annual Salary Review and Performance Review
There is the opportunity for progression within the company and staff are rewarded for their individual performance. The annual salary review is effective from April each year and Performance Reviews are done on a quarterly basis.
Further Educational Qualifications
SFS operates an excellent education policy, offering 100% sponsorship of course fees for staff undertaking professional qualifications that are considered relevant to the job.
Permanent health insurance (PHI)
Dependent on the grade of role, staff are included in the group PHI scheme, details of which will be given at appointment.
Private medical insurance (PMI)
Dependent on the grade of role, staff are included in the group PMI scheme and your spouse or children may be added for a small additional cost.
Simply Health
Staff are eligible to join the Simply Health Plan, which includes cover for dental, optical and physiotherapy costs.
Holidays
25 days per annum, plus Bank Holidays, which increases one per year up until a maximum of 30 days as your length of service with SFS does.
Group stakeholder pension scheme
A stakeholder pension scheme is available through AVIVA. The scheme will include life cover benefits as detailed in your contract of employment.
Life cover
As part of the group stakeholder pension scheme (as shown) we offer 8 x basic salary upon death in service.
Investment accounts
Staff are eligible for staff investment rate on investment accounts with Skipton Building Society.
Staff Union
You will have the opportunity to join Staff Union Representing Group Employees (SURGE).
Childcare vouchers
We have, in conjunction with Computershare, a system whereby part of your salary can be exchanged for childcare vouchers. These vouchers are exempt from National Insurance contributions and there is potentially an income tax saving when used to purchase childcare. They can be used for a wide range of childcare and not just at Computershare Nurseries (as long as they are registered).
Social Club
Staff have the option of joining the company social club. It provides trips to various attractions and staff discounts.
Subsidised Restaurant/Café
This is situated at Head Office and offers a range of meals, snacks and beverages.
Subsidised Gym Membership
All staff qualify for subsidised gym membership at Lifestyle Health & Fitness Gym based in Skipton.
