Raymond Broomfield, SFS adviser in North Berwick, appeared as a case study in The Mail on Sunday (Sunday 4 July) discussing his pension planning. The article said Raymond was "a strong believer in pensions, with almost 20% of his pay saved into a string of schemes as he is convinced he needs to save hard as he predicts he will get little support from the State when he is in his 60s". Andrew Barker was quoted in article on with-profit bond encashments in The Sunday Times on 21 March 2010. Andrew was quoted as saying, "Even where someone does not have a spot guarantee, they should still consider moving to a better investment, which will hopefully recover more quickly and make up the MVA."
Andrew Barker was quoted in an article in The Sunday Telegraph on 31 January, recommending that anyone coming out of with-profit bonds invest in fund of funds, saying that he likes Henderson Multi-Manager Income & Growth and Jupiter Merlin Income Portfolio.
