Customers of Skipton Financial Services (SFS) in Carlisle will see a new face when they next call in to the branch at 27/31 Bank Street, as Alan Hodgson has been appointed as the branch’s new whole of market financial adviser, specialising in investments and inheritance tax planning. He will work alongside the existing adviser Ian Stewart, to ensure the people of Carlisle receive the best possible service.
Alan joins SFS with a decade of experience in financial services. He lives in Carlisle with his partner Gemma and their two children Jay and Mason. Away from work, he enjoys football and his claim to fame is that he spent two years as a YTS footballer at Carlisle United from 1997 to 1999, as well as playing for Gretna from 1999 to 2003 when they were in the Unibond League in England.
Alan commented, “I am delighted to have joined Skipton Financial Services, as I feel it is a company which puts its customers’ needs first and has an enviable reputation for providing quality financial advice. I look forward to working closely with the Skipton Building Society staff in Carlisle and would like to encourage new and existing customers to come into the branches for a chat and to review their financial arrangements.”
Mark Ridley, regional manager for SFS, added, “Alan’s skills and experience in financial services made him perfect for this role. I am delighted to welcome him to the team in Carlisle and have no doubt he will prove a great asset to both the branch and the company.”
